dt601.jpg (8945 bytes)This is another item that I am planning on adding to my truck.  The Digi-Tach allows you to attain the ultimate performance edge. Eliminate guessing your engines idle speed, gearing points or shift points. The Digi-Tach reads your engine's RPM by the use of a specially designed sensor that attaches easily and reads your engine rotation without flywheel tape or engine modification hassles. The unit can work on most glow engines and has even been used on motorcycles and Go carts. The DT601 reads RPM from 1,500 to 55,000 at a processor speed of 4 megahertz, which means updating is virtually instantaneous. Eliminate life robbing over-revving in airplanes, cars, boats, or whatever you can imagine. The unit employs two methods of displaying RPM. The DT601 can read continuously or hold the highest RPM attained. From what I have read the Digi-Tach will let you know if you are over-speeding your engine over that jump or if you have not attained enough RPM down the Back straight.
